Oasis montaj is configured by the loading of menus that in turn load task bars and organize how various features and functions appear to the user. The actual functionality behind a menu selection or a button is coded into an extension referred to as a "GX", which can be either a compiled Geosoft GX, a .NET XTool or a Python script. Each of these development environments does access Geosoft functions using the GX Developer API.
